Two Fridays ago, we celebrated one of the most touching Waldorf traditions: the Rose Ceremony. 🌹 In this beloved rite of passage, each member of our senior class offered a rose to a first grader, symbolizing both a blessing and a quiet promise of guidance. These roses were then gathered into a shared bouquet, forming a living constellation—each bloom a star in the unfolding journey of the first grade. ✨ We look forward to witnessing the bond between these two classes deepen over the year, as the seniors gently accompany the first graders on their first steps into the grade school journey. 👣 (fb)

We have a new subject on our curriculum and our students are loving it. 😊 While we keep looking for a eurythmy teacher, we have added folk dance classes to the curriculum for grades 1 - 8! We’re excited that this rich part of the curriculum at many Waldorf schools has now arrived at the Austin Waldorf School. 💖 Our teacher Ms. Chen does an amazing job at gently guiding our students through the different moves, while promoting an improved connection between body and mind.
