There’s nothing like being in a 12-passenger van at capacity and traveling for 14 hours in a foreign country to create bonds between strangers. From the uncertainty of a new destination to the uncomfortable feelings of a lack of personal space, walls start to break down and relationships blossom. And, that’s just how Christian Surfers (CS) United States kicks off Foundations Training. “We want them to know the DNA of CS,” says Cheyne Jobbins, southwest regional coordinator. “We want them to know what they are signing up for to be leaders. We want to grow their character and their leadership.
