🧐 Where has CBCAC been?? This week our staff member Wenyan Wang was recognized at the Cook County Digital Equity's Access Amplified for her work in building a digitally inclusive Cook County! At the Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community, we believe that access to technology and information is not a privilege, but a right. Over the past few years, we’ve seen how digital equity can transform lives: from helping seniors learn to use smartphones, to connecting families to the internet for the very first time. Access Amplified is so important because it brings together people who care deeply about inclusion, technology, and equity. 🫶 WE KEEP US SAFE!!! Thank you to all of our volunteers for coming out to make sure our neighbors know their rights and how to keep each other safe! Over the last two Sundays, 35 volunteers came out and provided 840 households with Know Your Rights information and spoke to 117 residents directly about how to protect themselves and their loved ones in Chinatown, Armour Square, and Bridgeport. Our work doesn't stop here! We will be out every Sunday morning from 10am-12pm.
