In previous Beaufort meetings, we've tallied an impressive 203 species, just shy of the Outer Banks record. The CBC Warbler Road Bonus Trip was a great success! Susan Campbell and Steve Schultz led (with de facto leadership cap given to Richard Hayes who helped find and get folks on birds) a group of 10 CBCers on a rain-free weekend trip to the Virginia Blue Ridge that netted 21 species of warblers. The main objective of this trip was to is see and hear Cerulean Warblers, which are less common in SC and NC than in Virginia. Folks were quite successful in that regard, tallying a conservative 56 Cerulean! (fb)
