Welcome To Saving Our Sierras Our Mission Saving Our Sierras is a nonprofit organization restoring the Sierra Nevada forests and wildlife habitats by inspiring and engaging diverse communities impacted by wildfires and desertification through innovative advocacy programs stewardship and education of tree transplantation erosion control naturalization processes and wildfire prevention. Learn more about SOS Your generous donation helps our nonprofit strive toward our mission in restoring the Sierra Nevada forests and wildlife habitats. Whether a shortterm event project or longerterm commitment we welcome you to join the effort. Current Projects There are many areas in the Sierra Nevada that have burned in the past few decades that have left devastating scars in the beauty of our forests.
