BCS Families - Feeling the pinch of back-to-school clothes and supplies, of traffic, groceries & gas and utilities as temperatures rise and 90,000 student return?! Imagine the pressure of all this as a single mom! "EMPOWER" allows single moms to take a breath, have a meal and childcare while they fellowship with other single moms and a specialized bible study to remind them THEY are beloved children of God! First Baptist Bryan is paving the way for other local churches to be active missionaries to empower the single-mom families of BCS! Our Mission Peacock is a nonprofit organization based in the Bryan College Station area that provides housing and lifeskill training for single moms and their families. Our mission is to empower single mothers and their children through Christian support and transitional homes restoring their lives to Gods path. Everyone has experienced the sensation of being overwhelmed to the point where even the smallest task seems insurmountable. For a single mom this drowning sensation can easily become a daytoday part of life between balancing parenting providing for her family and taking care of herself.
