The Center for Mental Health Promotion was established to advance healthy psychological functioning in children and families. The Center supports research and programs designed to advance understanding of effective parenting and the obstacles that may impede the formation of satisfactory parent-child relations. In addition, our mission is to increase the range and quality of information about development, prevention, and intervention and make that available to families, communities, and mental health professionals, especially where this can benefit children at risk.
