Today on National Navajo Code Talker’s Day, the Scholarship Foundation is proud to celebrate Marine Scholar Talise, the great granddaughter of Chester Nez, the last surviving member of the 29 original Navajo Code Talkers. Chester’s legacy of courage and service in World War II lives on through Talise and her mother, veteran Hospitalman Valeria A. Robinson USN, a US Navy veteran who continued her family’s tradition of military service. Their story is a powerful reminder of the strength, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of the Navajo community.
