We are delighted to announce the appointment of Susan Edmondson as the new Executive Director of the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation! Susan stepped into her new role this past Monday, May 19. Susan is a deeply respected and longtime leader in the Colorado Springs nonprofit community. In her new role, she will lead the Foundation’s strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement efforts. As the philanthropic arm of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, the Foundation plays a vital role in advancing compassionate care in our region, and Susan is the ideal person to elevate this mission. Susan brings with her an impressive record of nonprofit leadership, civic engagement, and public communication. Most recently, she served as President & CEO of the Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs. She was previously Executive Director of the Bee Vradenburg Foundation, where she now serves on the board. Her commitment to community is further reflected in her service on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College, among others. Throughout her career, Susan has demonstrated a deep dedication to improving the quality of life in our region through collaboration, innovation, and thoughtful leadership. She brings to this role not only her expertise and strategic insight but also a compassionate heart and a clear vision for the future of hospice and palliative care in our community. Susan’s integrity, warmth, and community-minded spirit will be instrumental in raising awareness of the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation’s work, and in strengthening support for the essential services provided by Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
