I don't usually talk about what's going on personally, but I really need your support and prayers. Back in March I was diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). It means the blood flow in my right leg is severely reduced. It's very painful and limits what I can do. I was finally set up for angioplasty in June, but it wasnt very effective and I was told bypass surgery was not an option. Depression settled in. I've been in physical therapy, trying to increase my mobility.... my therapist has been amazing!!! Sadly, I haven't improved and it was suggested i get another opinion. Today I go in for another angiogram, my new doctor has assured me he believes he can do the bypass and get the blood flow to my foot moving again. Here's where I need your love, support and prayers. Prayers for good news at the end of the day. Prayers for wisdom and skill for my doctor. And prayers for healing. I will have e to be down for 4-6 weeks.... that will place a huge financial burden on Dean and I. I know God will provide and with prayers He will bring healing. Will you lift me up today and in the coming weeks? Help me get back to where I can be out there raising awareness for DJ's Wish. Our annual trip to Washington DC is October 16th. We shall see if that's possible this year. I pray it is though I have to make my health the priority right now. DJ's Wish is what keeps me going - to honor our son and protect your sons and daughters. Pray I can do better soon, please. (fb)
