7 years in the making. It hits different when it’s your home festival #iykyk. What started out as a wet day of racing this past Sunday at the 45th Boston Dragon Boat Festival ended in sunny final races with 🥇in Division A Major and🥇in Division B Major for Wolfpack. We fielded two boats for the first time ever #wolfpackblack #wolfpackpink and are so proud of our 18 new members whose first time it was paddling as a Wolfie. Excited to watch everyone’s development in the months and seasons to come! Thank you to @bostondragonboatfestival, the volunteers, and @22dragonsmtl for hosting a spectacular weekend of racing, your dedication and hard work to ensure everything ran smoothly were greatly appreciated. Thank you to all of the fierce teams we raced for continuing to push us. And thank you to the friends & family who stood in the rain to cheer 🩷🖤🤍 WRC started in 2016 as a handful of friends who wanted to paddle together. Anyone who has gone through the grind of spending years trying to grow a dragon boat (or any) team understands the work and patience, the ebbs and flows & the hopes and disappointments that come with it. We would not be where we are without every single member who has joined us since Season 1, whether they were passing through or are still an active member today. Here’s to continuing to grow and achieving more milestones! As we come down from the weekend high, our sights are set on training for races in Toronto and Springfield next month.
