Pupdate: 🐾 Iggy still remains a little bit of a mystery. He had taken a turn for the worse on Wednesday and was in critical condition. He was started on treatment at my clinic and then transferred to PERC for overnight care. He received a plasma transfusion, dextrose drip, fluid and received a full abdominal ultrasound by an internist. We are waiting on some results from a lymph node aspirate and fluid analysis, which hopefully we’ll have next week. 🐾 Right now his protein is still very low, but he has more energy overall and is eating like a champ. We switched his diet to a hydrolyzed protein diet in case he has a condition called PLE, and is on other supplements and vitamins to help support his immune system and digestive tract. He’s still not out of the woods, but he’s a fighter and we’ll continue to fight with him. Hoping that the testing pending brings us a little more clarity to what is going on with our little Iggy. 🐾 So far, our bills exceeded $2600- Most have not honored their pledge. Blue Ridge, GA 🏔️💍🐾 On October 25, our founder and president, Kristine, married the most wonderful man, Eddie. 💕 Eddie shares her passion for rescuing animals, and when it came time to decide whether to bring their five dogs to the mountains, there was no doubt what the answer would be! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶 So — two vehicles, five dogs, and the start of a beautiful week it was.
