Last year, during Giving Tuesday, our community came together to make history. With the support of the @afghanamericancommunityorg (AACO) and generous donors like you, NeuroKids raised funds to train Afghan neurosurgeons and equip them with the tools to save young lives. Today, we’re proud to share that our new partner site in Jalalabad, Afghanistan is officially up and running, bringing safe, effective treatment for children with hydrocephalus and spina bifida closer to home. The program is led by Dr. Zamiruddin Khalid with Dr. Khyber Safi Dr. Khyber Iqbal “safi” serving as the NeuroKids site coordinator.
