The Signal for Help is a silent way for someone in danger to say, “I need you to reach out safely.” If you see someone make this hand signal 🖐 open palm ➡️ thumb tucked ➡️ fingers closed it could mean they need help escaping violence. Here’s how you can respond safely: Ask yes or no questions like “Would you like me to call for help?” Make sure they are alone before talking. Let them lead the next steps. If you ever see the signal being used in public or from a window, call 911.
