Oral hygiene supports school and work Why it matters: Poor oral health can cause pain, infections, and other problems that affect daily life. Children with untreated cavities or dental infections may miss school because it’s too painful to eat or concentrate. Adults may be unable to work or care for their families when suffering from dental pain. By maintaining good oral hygiene, we help children stay in school and adults stay productive, supporting stronger, healthier families and communities. We’re back in Tanzania! We had our first clinical day today, and it was incredible to see the impact of providing care, education, and support to the communities we serve.
