This is a significant blow to an entire field dedicated to cultural exchange, creative expression, and community well-being, and has an outsized impact on small nonprofit organizations like ours. Art is the bridge that unites us and enables our communities to flourish. A world without the beauty and compassion that a vibrant, dynamic arts ecosystem delivers is one in which imaginations and possibilities suffer. Yet we’re not about to allow this diminished reality to take hold without a fight. We want you to know we are committed to continuing to create thought-provoking, empathy generating, brilliantly imaginative film programs for all kids. We deeply value you as a participant in our shared enterprise, and ask that you contribute what you can to NYICFF in these challenging times.
