Spotlight on Country Day Student: Ethan M. '29 📚 Ethan has been advocating for literacy and celebrating books & authors on his podcast since he was 11-years-old. He was recently presented with an award by Mayor Kevin McCarty for his literacy advocacy work he does for his nonprofit, E TrainTalks, Inc. Out of over 15,000 non-profit groups in the Sacramento area, Ethan's was one of thirty to be recognized by the mayor's office! Meet "Shut Up and Listen" — 1 of 3 amazing Garage Bands at our Country Day High School! Launched in 2017 by Mr. Ratcliff, the program has grown under Mr. Pearsall’s direction into a middle and high school staple, complete with Rock Night concerts and plenty of jam sessions, collaboration, and creativity. Fun fact and Throwback Thursday gem: Allie Bogetich '21, our new physics teacher, was the drummer in the first ever garage band. She shares that "it's a full-circle moment, and I could not be more thrilled that the program is still going strong!" Want to hear more about it?
