The Santa Cruz Education Foundation: Supporting excellent neighborhood public schools in Santa Cruz, CA We believe every child deserves an excellent neighborhood school. The Santa Cruz Education Foundation (SCEF) supports our schools through advocacy, outreach and fundraising. The Santa Cruz Education Foundation works to ensure that all students in the Santa Cruz City Schools district, kindergarten through high school, have an outstanding educational experience. Since 2003, has sponsored a variety of educational programs in order to develop creative, capable, and engaged learners. Through monetary donations, hundreds of volunteer hours, community outreach to our database of 10,000 members, and key partnerships, we work to ensure that every one of the 7000 students at our 10 campuses has opportunities to enrich their education, with particular concern for the 40% of students who qualify for free/reduced-priced meals.
