Earlier this month, 12 real estate brokerages and over 180 passionate participants came together competing in 9 epic games for the second annual Real Estate Rumble in support of the Alzheimer's Association: The Longest Day. Coordinated by Rachael Acevedo and made possible by the collaboration of brokerage team captains, sponsors and volunteers, this unforgettable event showcased the power of community in action. This friendly competition of games and fun raised an incredible $113,000 (and counting) for Alzheimer’s care, support and research! Behind the spirit of the Rumble is a deeply personal inspiration that sparked a powerful movement. “The Real Estate Rumble is more than a fundraiser—it’s personal,” shared Rachael Acevedo, who helped launch the event in memory of her father, Ramon Acevedo, Jr., who passed from Lewy Body Dementia in October 2022. What began as one daughter’s tribute has become a community united by love, loss, and purpose. Each team came ready to compete—and to honor someone special touched by Alzheimer’s or dementia. "Together, we turned a day of friendly competition into something truly meaningful: a show of strength, remembrance, and hope," said Rachael.
