The Lilly Lights the Way Childhood Cancer Foundation awarded two scholarships in 2025. We are excited to announce our scholarship winners: Isla Thompson and Olivia Falzone! Isla will attend UMass Dartmouth to earn a bachelor's degree in Marketing while competing as an NCAA athlete on the women's soccer team. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to pursue graduate school, either studying Law or continuing her education in Business. Olivia will be attending the College of Charleston this fall. She plans to pursue a career in event and wedding planning, with hopes of turning her passion for creating memorable experiences into a profession. This August, I’m running the Falmouth Road Race with Tommy’s Place in memory of my beautiful cousin, Lilly. Lilly’s kindness, strength, and bravery inspired everyone who had the joy of knowing her. She had a gift for making people feel loved and supported, always doing whatever she could to bring happiness to others. One of Lilly’s biggest dreams was to start a foundation to help families battling childhood cancer. After she passed away in 2019, our family honored that dream by creating Lilly Lights the Way. Since then, we’ve been able to support countless families through grants, scholarships, and care baskets. In 2023, Lilly Lights the Way proudly partnered with Tommy’s Place to help open their newest vacation house in Centerville, Massachusetts. Together, we created a magical bedroom in her honor — “Lilly's Pad.” Tommy’s Place is an incredible organization that gives children fighting cancer and their families a much-needed escape — a weeklong dream vacation in Cape Cod, filled with joy, hope, and healing. This race is personal. It’s for Lilly, for her legacy, and for the children and families who need this kind of magic.
