We are sad to report that Snowy crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday just shy of her 15th birthday. Snowy was surrendered at 13 years old due to her elderly owner no longer being able to care for her. Starting over at that age is difficult for a dog, but she was adopted by the Longs in January 2024 and thrived in their loving care. While her remaining time was short, she filled it with love for her adopted pawrents and enjoyed her daily walks around the neighborhood. The Longs told us, "She has been such a pleasure in our home. When we first got her, she was slow to give her love, but she quickly warmed up to us. She lived a wonderful 18 months in our house, and our hearts are just as broken as if it had been 18 years." This morning, she was remembered as her dad took his 18-month old-grandson on Snowy's regular walk. A fitting tribute for such a dearly-loved old lady. Run free, dear Snowy! You will be missed. (fb)

ADOPTED: Winston! We are so happy to report that Winston was adopted by Shane and Chris and his Westie sister. Chris reports, "He's fit into this family like he belonged here all along. We couldn't be happier." We are so thrilled for Winston and his new family, and we wish them many happy years together. Another match made! (fb)
