Mastery Schools and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are proud to celebrate the successful completion of a dual enrollment pilot designed to inform the launch of the Health Institute at Hardy, a groundbreaking initiative, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, that will officially launch at Hardy Williams High School in August. Through specialized training in clinical care, healthcare administration, and hospital operations, 14 dedicated high school seniors passed industry-recognized exams in medical assisting, sterile lab processing, and CompTIA IT Fundamentals. These accomplishments reflect the confidence, practical skills, and real-world experience that students gained through the program. From the halls of Shoemaker Campus to campus grounds in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, alum Jamir Wesley is thriving! After being encouraged by his English teacher, Wesley discovered what Gettysburg College , an affinity partner college to the network, had to offer. Through the partnership, he received support to continue his excellence during the transition from Shoemaker to college. As he prepares to graduate in June, Wesley is pursuing his passion for environmental studies, becoming a community leader, and inspiring the next generation to be their best.
