Members of WSHA's Clinical Excellence team traveled to Prosser Memorial Health last week for the second of three summer Rural Quality Roundtables. We were joined by quality leaders from six rural hospitals for a great discussion on community resource referrals. A highlight of the day was learning about Prosser’s Community Paramedic Program, which extends primary care into patients’ homes through paramedicine. It’s an excellent example of rural ingenuity meeting patient needs. We wrapped up with a tour of Prosser’s new hospital—thank you to Kristi Mellema and the entire Prosser Memorial Health team for your warm hospitality and leadership!
