Meet Artem, a two-year-old with a neurological disorder that affects his speech. He lives with foster parents and five older children. Despite their care, low-paying jobs and health issues make it difficult to provide balanced nutrition. Poverty leaves Artem and his siblings lacking essential nutrients vital for their growth and development. A Food Pak from a Children’s Hunger Fund partner supplies nutritious food to families like Artem’s, delivered by local churches that also share hope and support. How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!” Romans 10:15 We were able to welcome many families to the volunteer program this past Saturday! Not only were they able to pack 600 Food Paks for our next Philippines container but it was a wonderful lunch time with them as well. Our team helped put together a Hawaiian holiday here at home complete with leis, Hawaiian roll sandwiches, (the spam was a hit) and the best chips out on the market. It was great to hear the many conversations going on as they were eating together. Looking forward to the next event! (fb)
