Lent being half over and Easter approaching the medieval tradition of a temporary pause during Holy Week at Rose Sunday allows us enjoyment of this concert honoring the Lenten season with Haydn39s Symphony 49 La Passione and music for Lent by the Spanish Courts multifaceted chapel master Francisco Courcelle. Featuring tenor Eric Lane in Motets and Lamentation by Courcelle. Closing the concert in an exuberant celebration of life is Carl Stamitzs Symphony in D minor.
