With the support of Kim Powe and Eileen Hall, our operations remain steady through this pause—a reflection of relational stewardship in action. Even in rest, we continue with intention: 🌺 MMIP Awareness Day (Idaho): Over 175 relatives gathered for ceremony, storytelling, and justice. 🌿 Board Renewal: We are reimagining governance rooted in Indigenous values—not colonial frameworks. 🎉 Save the Date – October 18, 2025: Potlatch Makes Possible will be a celebration of Native-led futures through culture, community, and joy—not a gala, but a gathering. 🔥 Native-led Philanthropy: We are not just moving funds—we are moving stories, culture, and strategy. Honoring Juneteenth at Potlatch Fund 🖤💚❤️ Today we honor Juneteenth, a day of remembrance, resistance, and celebration. It marks the moment in 1865 when the last enslaved Black people in Texas were informed of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth calls us to reckon with histories of oppression and to uplift the resilience and leadership of Black communities, including Afro-Indigenous relatives whose voices are often erased but deeply rooted in shared struggles for sovereignty, justice, and collective healing. As a Native-led organization, Potlatch Fund stands in solidarity with Black liberation. We recognize that healing, justice, and liberation are interconnected across all our communities.
