𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐓 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 Gardiner Public Schools, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. All donations are partially matched by Park County Community Foundation, making your gift go further. Gardiner is facing a housing crisis. This crisis has affected the Gardiner Public School's ability to hire and retain teachers, as the starting salary is only $35,777. NYEF is working to address this issue through our Teacher Housing Initiative. At the start of 2024, we had 3 apartments available for school staff. Since then, thanks to community support, we’ve: 🛠️ Remodeled the third floor apartment of our first teacher unit with help from local partners 🏡 Acquired another property with two more units—both now housing school staff 🔨 Upgraded the studio (on the second property) into a one-bedroom apartment with a grant from Park County Community Foundation (with lots of community support) 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈! We're working with the school to add three new homes by the 2025–2026 school year! You can check out one of these manufactured homes this coming week in the Gardiner Public School parking lot.
