This summer, LOVE Park’s nightscape was transformed by The Philadelphians, a stunning 360° public art projection bringing together 10 short-film portraits honoring the strength, stories, and heritage of immigrant communities in our city. Created by Philadelphia-based artist duo Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib (Hironaka & Suib) with Forman Arts Initiative, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and the City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, the project celebrated past and present contributions of Philadelphians from around the globe. Through imagery and craftsmanship, this work invited us all to find connection across generations and cultures.
