35 years ago, the Louisiana Search and Rescue K9 Team (LaSAR) was founded. Over the years, a few things have changed but our mission remains the same. We continue to assist law enforcement and fire-rescue whenever requested. Our services remain free of charge to both the agency that calls us and the families that we help. This is something that has been a standard for this team. Here are a few more facts about the team. The first dog deployed by the team was named Frosty and he is featured in our team logo. The child in our logo represents the lost/missing individuals that we search for on each mission. The logo received a slight upgrade a few years ago but it remains unchanged even after all these years. As always, thanks for your continued support and belief in the team. (fb)
