Telluride Fire personnel trained Monday on “forceable entry” techniques. In a fire or EMS emergency where first responders need to but cannot gain access into a structure, forced entry may be necessary. This step, though a last resort, may mean breaking a window or breaching a door. Safety is our first priority for you and our crew, and all efforts are made to protect property. However, sometimes forced entry is required to protect and even save lives.
