What a great way to start the season! Thanks to everyone who came to University Park United Methodist Church for our first "From Ethereal to Exultant" concert! If you missed this one, we still have two more performances in November: Sunday, Nov. 9 at 5:00 pm at Northway Christian Church of Dallas Sunday, Nov. 16 at 5:00 pm at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church BTW, did we mention that singing makes us hungry? Come "heyr" us tomorrow evening as we bring Icelandic composer Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson's "Heyr, himna smiður" (“Hear, Smith of the Heavens”) to life at University Park United Methodist Church! Welcome to Inspirata We Hope Our Music INSPIRES You ABOUT US Inspiratawas conceived when a group of fellow musicians gathered one evening to explore the opportunities to express their love for sacred choral music within their community. Although everyone had participated in various church choirs throughout the city there remained a desire to evangelize the richness tradition and beauty that could only be found in sacred music. The musical tradition of the Universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value greater even than that of any other art Sacrosanctum Concilium Second Vatican Council Realizing that no such outlet existed the group feltinspiredto formInspirata a group of singers passionate about promoting a heightened awareness and appreciation for sacred choral music. As an auditioned ensemble of singers we are dedicated to bringing choral excellence to what we believe to be some of the finest works of music ever created through performance and education at some of North Texas most beautiful and inspiring venues.
