Please welcome Delilah to the RPAW family ❤️ She is all of 6 months old and about 30# right now. She was found wandering a neighborhood all alone with a bad limp. A good Samaritan picked her up and brought her to the emergency clinic for care. It was there that they found her limp is due to a fractured elbow. This is a very tricky fix but our board certified orthopedic surgeon will attempt just that. If it is not possible, we will need to amputate but we are hoping that isn't the case. As you can imagine this won't be an inexpensive fix, but one that is so worth it! Delilah deserves to be able to run and play like other puppies. Well we just keep trucking along with the hot mess express... 🚉 Meet Charlie... This poor guy likely hasn't had adequate care in years. He is skin and bones, matted, dirty, sore, tired and with a mouth like that, who would want to continue on living? His history is a mystery but he was impounded and not claimed so we were asked to work our magic... how could we say no??? Today started the rest of his life. We are estimating his age to be around 10-12 years old. He was neutered and we sent out full lab work to check how everything is functioning on the inside. Then we will address his mouth which requires much longer sedation. Once he gains a bit more weight (he is currently a staggering 7#) we will get him groomed.
