David was named a Lama('92) & an Acharya ('05).He teaches distance learning classes in Tibetan language & Buddhism through Tibetan Language Institute. With the Tibetan heritage and its rich contribution to humanity endangered and disappearing, TLI works to advance the preservation of the Tibetan language & culture through the teaching of the Tibetan language to Westerners. Non-sectarian, we strive to enable people of all ages and backgrounds to understand and appreciate this profound tradition. TLI’s mission is implemented in several ways. We teach Classical Tibetan via distance technologies--thousands of students. We also publish unique study materials. TLI has a library collection written in Tibetan, Sanskrit, Pali, Japanese, and Western languages. These collections sustain research, education and publication, helping to save and archive the great works of the Tibetan tradition.
