The Lodge is incorporated in and under the laws of the State of New York as a nonprofit corporation as of July 21 1994. The Fraternal Order of Police is strictly nonsectarian and shall have no application directly or indirectly with any labor union congress federation or committee of like nature or similar organization by whatever name known. FOP Membership Membership is open to any regularly appointed fulltime or retired law enforcement officer of the United States New York State cities towns villages and political subdivisions therein permanently employed or temporarily detailed within the boundaries of the State of New York.
