One thing we love about our facilitation process is that the answer is “always in the room”. On a recent trip to Mongolia, our SE Asia Regional Field Director, Josh, quickly discovered via a walk around the TCD community, that a handful of individuals were already using greenhouses to plant vegetables in the harsh and cold climate of Mongolia. Local practitioners were invited to share their experience when the TCD team facilitated a lesson on building and using greenhouses to plant vegetables effectively. We love it when we have local experts and they get to shine and share their knowledge. This is what community is all about, and sometimes it just takes someone asking questions and making connections amongst community members to excite others about a new initiative. Did you know our teams all around the world are currently carrying out Annual Community Surveys? While Monitoring and Evaluation may sound boring to some, we know that it is critical to the success of our TCD programs! Not only can the local communities see their progress, but our teams use the collected data to inform them of areas of continued need and identify points of progress to celebrate together!
