Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a nonprofit geared towards helping kids ride into a healthier, happier childhood by giving bikes to those in need. Free Bikes 4 Kidz Maryland collects bicycles all year, refurbishes them in the fall, and gives them away to local kids in need in December. Free Bikes 4 Kidz Maryland is an affiliate of Minneapolis-based Free Bikes 4 Kidz--a nonprofit geared toward helping all children ride into a healthier, happier childhood by providing bicycles to those most in need. We collect bikes in October, refurbish them with thousands of volunteers, and give them away with a new helmet to local children in need in December—over 100,000 bicycles since 2008. Free Bikes 4 Kidz Maryland was founded in 2019 and has collected over 13,000 bikes, and given away over 12,000 of them, in six annual campaigns since then. In 2025 our goal is to give away 3000 bicycles with new helmets.
