Cătălin Aciobotăriței recently shared with us some great photos from the Multicultural Night organized by Leesylvania Elementary School where Romania was proudly represented by his son. Here it is in his own words: ”This year's Multicultural Night organized by Leesylvania Elementary School in Prince William County, Virginia was a chance for the kids and parents to learn about the diverse background of the community. For the past two years, Simon Aciobotăriței represented Romania by participating in the national costume parade and by having a promotional display board in the event. The board featured beautiful Romanian landmarks, facts, traditions and food. Many people stopped by Romania's table admiring the traditional clothes, asking questions about some of the traditions (especially about egg painting and 'sorcova'). The kids were especially fascinated by Bran Castle and hearing about the bear dance." - Prince William County Public Schools We'd love to share your story or the story of your children representing Romania or Romanian culture at various local events.
