In just three weeks, RHSC will be hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year. As a nonprofit, we have some very important reasons why you should consider joining us that evening... Your support of RHSC helps us meet the needs of underserved individuals by expanding access to quality care, educating the community, and raising awareness about the importance of hearing health. Our Financial Aid Fund provides free hearing aids to individuals with no insurance coverage and limited means. Our free community hearing screenings, in partnership with Trillium Health, Lifespan of Greater Rochester Inc. and Episcopal SeniorLife Communities, include not only screenings, but recommendations, referrals, and education on hearing protection. RHSC is one of only two organizations in the region (alongside UR/Strong Health) that treats hearing loss for Medicaid patients. Private hearing centers do not accept Medicaid, leaving patients with extremely limited options for obtaining hearing aids. Lastly, with almost 500 children on the waitlist for Early Intervention in Monroe County, RHSC provides EI and Preschool Services to help them get the services they need.
