The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Los Angeles Chapter (AFP-GLAC) joins the entire Los Angeles nonprofit community in mourning the passing of Wallis Annenberg, chair of the Annenberg Foundation. A visionary philanthropist, Ms. Annenberg redefined the role of modern philanthropy leaving an unforgettable mark on Los Angeles and beyond through her commitment to equity, education, the arts, health, and community empowerment. As local fundraisers and nonprofit leaders, we have all undoubtedly been touched by Ms. Annenberg’s leadership – investing boldly in our work, uplifting community voices and championing expanded access to opportunity. Her legacy not only spans the countless programs, organizations, and initiatives she supported, but also the lives of so many impacted by her tremendous generosity in the local nonprofit community. AFP GLAC extends our deepest condolences to the Annenberg family, the Foundation, and all those whose lives were enriched by her extraordinary generosity and vision.
