🗓 Community Heart update: 2022 Recap + Happy New Year 2023 Happy New Year, everyone! Here's our end-of-2022 and beginning-of-2023 update. - Community outreach: Since Community Heart's founding to now, we have delivered 19 care packages to cancer patients and their families. - Fundraisers: In 2022, we held 2 in-person paint fundraisers. Lauren led a step-by-step paint activity for a desert cactus in July and a kayak on the lake in November. - AmazonSmile: Since receiving our nonprofit status and registering as a charity organization with AmazonSmile in 2018, you all have helped us raise more than $400 through AmazonSmile donations. Your donations go toward the items that we purchase for care packages, fundraising supplies, and other nonprofit expenses. Thank you for your continued support! Community Heart About Community Heart is a communitybased nonprofit organization with a mission to connect those affected by cancer in the Tracy community with a network of support. When someone in our community receives a cancer diagnosis patients and their families do not always know who or where to turn to for information and support. At the same time there are many community members including cancer survivors and those who have seen a loved one friend or acquaintance battle cancer who want to reach out but may not know how. The question then arose how do we bridge the gap between those who are seeking support and those who would like to provide support.
