What a beautiful afternoon spent at Seedleaf’s Two Suns Garden on East 4th Street, and also, at African Cemetery No. 2! Today, a crew of cargo bike riders met at the cemetery mulch pile and made two trips to bring wood chip mulch to Two Suns Farm. At this urban farm, Trees Lexington and Seedleaf volunteers planted two Elderberry bushes, two American Hazelnut, and two Pawpaw trees to celebrate Tree Week and add to this lovely, thriving garden. With Sharon Stone at the helm, the garden is a hub of learning, working, and literal growing as she teaches and engages youth to teach them valuable skills about growing and selling food. This collaboration was a fantastic and unique way to bring together a great group of volunteers to make a difference and celebrate trees.
