From his early days as a patrol officer in Suffolk County’s 5th Precinct to his leadership as PBA President, Louis has fought tirelessly for fair contracts, better working conditions, and stronger public safety. In 2025, Louis successfully negotiated a landmark contract for 1,700 officers, securing better wages and critical benefits, all while reinforcing the values of service, leadership, and integrity that define his career. We are proud to announce Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds, President & CEO of Family & Children's Association (FCA), as an honoree at The Sophia Valsamos Foundation’s 2nd Annual Leadership Luncheon on October 9, 2025! As the leader of one of Long Island’s largest and most impactful health and human service organizations, Dr. Reynolds has transformed lives, serving over 35,000 individuals annually across all ages with critical programs in addiction prevention, recovery, mental health, and family support. Since joining FCA, Dr. Reynolds has secured more than $18 million in new funding, expanded access to care with the launch of THRIVE Recovery Centers and a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate program, and established a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Nassau County with federal funding from SAMHSA. His leadership has positioned FCA at the forefront of behavioral health innovation, while his policy advocacy has helped shape conversations around mental health, addiction, gaming, cannabis, and human trafficking at both local and national levels. A two-time cancer survivor, Ironman triathlete, and author of Every Mile Matters, Dr. Reynolds brings passion, endurance, and purpose to every mile professionally and personally.
