We’re excited to announce that our new Makerspace is officially up and running! The space features state-of-the-art 3D printers, a crafts and design station, an interactive LEGO wall, and a wide range of hands-on tools and creative materials to spark innovation and exploration. What makes this Makerspace especially meaningful is that it's the first of its kind in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It offers a rare opportunity for children in our community to engage in STEM-based, hands-on learning in a space designed specifically for their growth. Through individual and collaborative projects, youth build not only academic skills but also strengthen their emotional intelligence, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. More importantly, the Makerspace provides a safe, supportive environment where children can take creative risks, express themselves, and gain confidence through making. Chinese Newcomers Service Center’s 2nd annual Food Giveaway The impact Cameron House has goes far beyond the work we do and our mission alone. Our partnerships—our extended and blended family—benefit from us too. On June 5th, we played a crucial role in Chinese Newcomers Service Center’s 2nd annual Food Giveaway, supporting their efforts to store, assemble, and distribute 5,000 bags of shelf stable and culturally important groceries. Our board members Joyce Tom, Liane Wong, and Tommy Lim were among their volunteers.
