𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒂’𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉… From 6–15th June, CNCF Mongolia proudly hosted 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 - a groundbreaking art exhibition in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Featuring over 70 original artworks, handwritten letters, and documentary-style photographs, 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 offered a rare and moving window into the lives of adolescents currently residing in Mongolia’s Rehabilitation Centre for Youth. Named after the resilient flower that thrives in even the harshest conditions, the exhibition embodied both metaphor and message: though shaped by adversity, these young people possess immense creativity, strength, and the power to grow anew. Visitors were invited to look beyond the label of “prisoner” - and instead see young individuals with dreams, emotions, and untapped potential. Over ten days, hundreds stepped into their world. Here’s what some shared: 🔹 “𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯 – 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦.” – 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 🔹 “𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘵. 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩. Youth Crime Prevention Workshop – Engaging 20 teenagers in open dialogue on peer pressure, accountability, and positive futures. 2. Restorative Justice Panel Discussion – Inspired by the Netflix docuseries Adolescence, bringing together experts and youth voices to reimagine justice. 3. Tree of Life Psychosocial Training – Equipping 20 social workers and psychologists with strength-based, narrative therapy tools. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 didn’t just showcase art - it affirmed lives. It challenged perception, sparked conversation, and reminded us what it truly means to offer a second chance. This is what 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 stood for. And this is what CNCF continues to fight for every day.
