Mission The mission of the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain is to work in partnership with the National Park Service and the local community to raise annual funding for projects and activities in the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Programs Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club Kennesaw Mountain NBP Upcoming Events Trail Club Workday National Park Week Trail Club Workday 24Gun Trail Trail Club Workday National Trail Day Supporting one of Atlantas most important cultural resources The Friends of Kennesaw Mountain works in partnership with the National Park Service to raise funds to enhance Kennesaw Mountain for present and future generations. We are building on a long heritage of Native American tribes settlers soldiers farmers Illinois donors and the Civilian Conservation Corps that helped create one of Cobb Countys most diverse greenspaces. The park is an oasis of hiking history and health within a bustling area and has over 2.
