Thursday, June 12, 2025, 6-9 pm Orange County Land Trust Honors Kasinki https://www.oclt.org/2025-benefit-reception/ NUFFI Executive Director, Virginia Kasinki, is one of several women who will be recognized this spring by the Orange County Land Trust for their leadership in conservation and agriculture. Other honorees include Cari Watkins-Bates (Scenic Hudson), Christina Chan (Chester Agricultural Center), Liana Hoodes (NOFA-NY), Lucy Joyce (Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County), Melinda Meddaugh (Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County), Kathleen Nolan (Catskill Mountainkeeper), Sharon Soons (Soons Orchards), Terrie Thal (West Branch Conservation Association), and Karen Washington (Chester Agricultural Center). We’ve always known that Virginia is a driving force in agriculture, conservation, environmental sustainability, and food/nutrition justice and we’re so glad that the Orange County Land Trust recognizes it too! Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Intitiative Growing Together in Newburgh. At NUFFI were more than an urban farm. Were a movement dedicated to empowering the Newburgh community through sustainable urban agriculture. Feeding Newburgh We harvest and donate several thousand pounds of fresh produce to local food pantries every season ensuring our neighbors access healthy food.
