We’re celebrating a major win for Denver and for the communities we serve. On Election Night, Denver voters overwhelmingly supported the Vibrant Denver Bond, passing all five measures (2A through 2E) to invest in the city’s future. As advocates for this initiative, the Coalition is especially encouraged by the passage of Ballot Issue 2E, which will improve access to safe, stable shelter and housing for those who need it most. This funding will support critical projects such as ADA improvements at shelter facilities, new affordable housing developments across the city, and co-located affordable housing alongside a new library. Together, these investments will expand access to safe, affordable places to live and call home. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who showed up and voted for the Vibrant Denver Bond. Your voices have ensured that Denver continues to grow as a place where everyone can thrive. Tuesday is election day! Ballot Measures 2A - 2E, known together as the Vibrant Denver Bond are supported by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. The package includes improvements to roads and bridges, parks and recreation centers, libraries, museums and theaters, health care facilities, shelters, emergency response, and more across Denver. These projects would be funded through General Obligation Bonds, a common local financing tool used nationwide, and would not increase taxes. Denver uses General Obligation Bonds to improve public infrastructure every few years. In addition to the Coalition’s support, the following organizations which serve people who are unhoused and help them transition off the streets are proud to support the Vibrant Denver general obligation bond, Measures 2A-2E: Catholic Charities of Denver, Colorado Village Collaborative, Denver Rescue Mission, St. Francis Center, The Delores Project, The Gathering Place, Urban Peak, and Volunteers of America Colorado.
