Friday, August 8th | 7:00–9:30 PM | Walkway Over the Hudson This evening, the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park will shine with the light of thousands of glowing luminaries, each one representing a cherished life remembered. This is a FREE event open to all (including your furry friends!) — a night of love, remembrance, healing, and community. Whether you're honoring a loved one or simply wish to stand in solidarity with those who grieve, we invite you to be part of this spectacular tribute. Tonight, you can expect: Luminaries of Remembrance Each luminary honors a life lived and loved. While the window to pre-purchase luminary bags has closed, you can still participate tonight! For a $25 donation, luminary stickers will be available for placement on blank bags. Just scan the QR code at check-in on either side of the Walkway (credit card only). Inspirational Readings & Music Be moved by touching readings from spiritual leaders and stirring musical performances from: ° Hudson Valley Voices in Harmony, supporting young singers and the belief that music can change lives ° The Mid Hudson Chapter of the Threshold Choir, whose voices offer comfort to those at life’s edge ° Mary Doherty, LMT, a cherished member of the Hudson Valley Hospice music therapy team and local performer Local Food Trucks Enjoy delicious eats from local favorites including Lemon Love, Mercurial Coffee Co., From the Ground Up, Moose Scoops, and Loaded Kitchen.
