Some of the SungateKids team took a field trip today to Backpack Society! What an amazing tour and chance to see firsthand the impact they’re making for families across Douglas, Englewood, and Littleton counties. Backpack Society provides meal bags for families, hosts grocery shopping hours every Wednesday and Thursday by appointment, supplies snack boxes for teachers to share with their students, and even offers emergency food pantry access across 76 schools. A huge thank you to June, their founder and Executive Director, for welcoming us and sparking ideas for how we can team up to better serve SungateKids families. 🏔🍋 Huge thank you to Jonathan LeCount and friends for setting up the highest lemonade stand in Colorado all the way on the summit of Mt. Elbert, the tallest peak in the state!
