June 7th is Defend National Monuments & Public Lands Day of Action: Our protected landscapes (including OMDP) were designated after years of organized effort from Tribal nations and indigenous advocates, outdoor recreationists, business owners, artists, faith leaders, and environmental groups. The Trump administration is undermining decades of efforts and our voices for the benefit of big corporations! For safety reasons, Friends of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks has made the decision to relocate. We will be meeting at the west side parking lot at Tortugas Mountain/A-Mountain!
